What are the effects of Shunning?
About Lesson

Behavioural Effects

1. Withdrawal and Avoidance: Shunned individuals may begin to withdraw from social interactions altogether to avoid further rejection and pain. This withdrawal can lead to a cycle of increasing isolation.

2. Changes in Behavior: In an attempt to be accepted again, some individuals might change their behaviour, values, or beliefs, which can lead to internal conflict and loss of identity.

3. Risk-Taking and Self-Harm: Some individuals might engage in risky behaviours or self-harm as a way of coping with the emotional pain of being shunned.
